Sound Summit Shares 2026 Lineup: Father John Misty, Guster, Jerry Harrison’s 50 Years of Talking Heads, La Luz and More

On September 12, Sound Summit will return to Mill Valley, Calif. for its 11th annual daylong festival. Produced since 2015 by Roots & Branches Conservancy–a San Francisco Bay Area-based nonprofit organization committed to preserving the region’s natural grandeur and cultural heritage–Sound Summit has become a beloved local institution for its environmental commitment and world-class musical guests. This year’s celebration upholds those traditions and looks back to its origins with a lineup topped by Father John Misty, returning for his second appearance at the event.

Set at the Cushing Memorial Amphitheater on the slopes of Mount Tamalpais, Sound Summit honors its surroundings by donating all proceeds back to Mount Tamalpais State Park. With views of the mountain and the bay below, attendees can soak up the cinematic folk-rock of Father John Misty, who’s released “The Old Law” and “The Payoff” this year in advance of his yet-unannounce seventh studio album, as well as jam adjacent indie mainstays Guster, Jerry Harrison’s 50 Years of Talking Heads project and surf-noir quartet La Luz and local funk outfit Angeline Saris & The Snack Machine.

“Staging the event in this remarkable perch high above the Bay each year is a continually nourishing adventure,” said founding producer Michael Nash. “I’m always impressed by our spirited crowd who makes their way up the mountain for a day unlike anything down on the ground. And there’s an unspoken but tangible sense of camaraderie among everyone for having done so.”

Tickets for Sound Summit 2026 will go on sale this Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. PT. For more information, visit soundsummit.net.
