Dark Star Orchestra has made a rolling financial pledge to Grateful Guitars. During the tribute band’s forthcoming Summer 2026 tour, they will donate $1 of every ticket sold online to
“[the] 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that obtains world-class musical instruments for talented players seeking to carry on the tradition of jam band music, and funds existing music-education nonprofits nationwide, creating opportunities for underserved youth.”
According to the group’s itinerary, the Grateful Guitar ticket donation is associated with select stops, beginning on Thursday, June 11, at the BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, N.H., as well as their follow-up on June 12 at the Beak & Skiff Apple Orchard in Lafayette, N.Y. Both nights, June 15-16, at Tree House Brewing Company, in addition to Pennsylvania and Buffalo, N.Y., appearances are also included.
On top of the already mentioned dates, Dark Star Orchestra’s concerts in Westport, Conn. (June 21), Rochester, N.Y. (June 24), Bethel, N.Y. (June 27), San Diego, Calif. (July 28), Eugene, Ore. (August 6), Woodinville, Wash. (August 7), and Forest Grove, Ore. (August 8) also bears the financial commitment.
The aforementioned concerts will come before Grateful Guitars Foundation and Music Heals International’s June 25 gathering at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, Calif., dubbed 10 Years After – The Songs Continue: Celebrating the Songbook of Weir/Wasseman Performed on Their Original Instruments, with Jackie Greene, Sam Grisman and special guest Jay Lane.
During the concert, the aforementioned musicians will perform music by Bobby Weir and Rob Wasserman on the artists’ actual instruments. The event also upholds Music Heals International’s 10-year commitment to “using music to bring healing and hope to thousands of children in Haiti, India, and Venezuela, training local teachers, empowering young leaders, and building pathways for lasting change.” Benefit concert tickets are available.
